Father Ceyrac's Children

  • Objective: Support a priority project which feeds and educate 25,000 underprivileged children in Madras and in several rural districts of Tamil Nadu

French Jesuit Father Pierre Ceyrac, 86, has been serving the poor of India for the last sixty years. He has created a whole network of charitable actions which reach several hundred villages of the South of India, mainly inhabited by dalits, the untouchables.

Jesuit Father Pierre Ceyrac, 86, is almost as well known and revered in India as Mother Teresa. Every day, he feeds 25,000 underprivileged children and gives them the opportunity to go to school.

In India, Father Ceyrac depends on our support, and the support of other wellwishers, to be able to serve everyday one highly proteined meal to some 25,000 children who would otherwise look for their survival in begging or searching the garbage of their villages. Thanks to trained social workers and educators, these children can attend school every day and therefore hope for a decent future.
